She had little bites on her legs when her body was found but it was determined that her faithful little dog was nipping her to “wake her up” sadly she was gone. I wish I knew what happened to that sweet little pup.  Joan Crawford paid for her Funeral she was cremated and her ashes were combined with her mother’s ashes. The location of the remains are unknown.  A big star a Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty in the Silent Movie Era her career faded in the talking picture era. The Death Of Wallace Reid 95 Years Later

Image
In 1919 The most perfect lover Wallace Reid was doing a movie titled “valley of the giants” on route to Oregon Reid’s Train was in the accident he had a bad head wound. He was stitched up and given morphine. He became hooked on morphine and the studio Paramount Studios gave him an ample amount of Morphine to keep him working because he was one of their biggest box office money makers.  In 1923 in an effort to get clean Wally checked himself into a sanitarium to get off the morphine. There is also a story that Paramount cut off his access to morphine because his career declined since he became hooked on the drug. So he had no other choice but to check himself into a sanitarium to get off of the Morphine. In any event, he died in the sanitarium from the effects of withdrawal on January 18, 1923. 95 years ago.  He was cremated and interred in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Glendale when his Widow died in 1977 she was cremated and her ashes were combined with his.  #RIPWALLYANDDOR
